Hmm, yeah, I guess I should try and alter my emotive and mental state, so I’ll give a rant about…
Racism…
Indeed, I shall go THERE!
So in this great land of the free and home of the brave, Racism is sadly, still a factor in our country, and the sad fact is, it’s a form of reverse racism, sudo-equality, on an epic scale, and in allowing it to run wild in our streets, we’ve opened ourselves up to a whole OTHER vein of racial drama, that is honestly, an issue more along the lines of National Sovereignty than race, and yet race has been thrown about so much, that it is pretty much the default setting for anyone who is not “white” or “Caucasian” as a response, reason, or justification for pretty much any and everything that a normal, basic, equal and decent society would label as unacceptable.
The fact that “Minorities” try to exploit that fact, is even MORE disturbing, and unacceptable, to a logical thinking person at least, so then if one wishes to remove a good chunk of the stresses of everyday life from themselves and others, the best piece of advice I can give, is lighten the hell up, and stop counting race as something important.
Its at its core, all about the “us & them” way of thinking we fall into all to easily, and it is honestly counterproductive, I mean, it’s basically we as people getting bent outta shape over genetics, for crying out loud! How stupid!
When a black person berates you for being white, claiming “The current system was built for you, by you.” You feel like you are being singled out, and degraded, just because of the color of your skin. I’m sure that there are some people who would say that it is only fair, after the hundreds of years of slavery and the years and years of segregation, but really now? Is the exact same method, applied in the inverse, at all fair? No, if it is not fair one way, it cannot be fair the other, and it cannot be called fair, or just, or right, or even okay, at all, ever.
Affirmative action, is likely one of the most racist things in our country today, to favor a person, just because of their skin, is in this day and age, pretty horrifying if one intends to truly be fair.
So if one wishes to again raise the banner for civil rights in America, then make dammed sure you do it for they that need it most, and it is NOT the Black or Latino communities, it is in the sexual arena, the next frontier for the civil rights movement is, and should well be, sexual equality, and PLEASE don’t start with the whole “Men make twenty-five percent more than women” spiel, god just shut the fuck up about that, women have seen an exponential increase in their wages across the board over the last 25 years, and if the trend holds true, in ten more years, on average, women will be making upwards of fifteen percent MORE then men, across the board, so don’t think I am referring to the ever constant battle of the sexes, not even!
I am referring to sexual discrimination in the context of orientation, which is just as asinine as discrimination based upon gender, race, and religion.
It is wrong, simple as that.
To discount a fellow human being based upon a preconceived idea, without allowing that person to prove their personal worth, and their worth to society, is nothing short of hate given credence by calling it something else, and shirking the true issue, something ingrained into humanity from our darkest, and earliest days; the handicap of the “us and them” mentality, something that was once necessary, and is now, woefully allowed to fester, when it is no longer needed in our ever advancing and progressive world, and its many societies.
I do of course understand one’s personal stance on sexual orientation, due to religious and moral background and or upbringing, and that is fine, if you don’t agree with homosexuality or bi-sexuality, fine, you are entitled to your options and beliefs, but just as one who does not support such a lifestyle does not want to be constantly confronted with it, someone who DOES support or live such a lifestyle, does not want to be constantly berated and condemned for it.
There IS a middle ground, a place of neutrality, it is simply called “tolerance” and it is in fact, based upon simple and common human respect.
I feel that keeping this as simple as possible is best, so I will dispense with any further comments at this time.
